WARNINGS. stephen king, man. child abuse, emotional abuse/manipulation, trauma surrounding munchausen syndrome by proxy (and hypochondria as a consequence of that) may come up in brackets, but i'll warn for anything specific and check-in accordingly. i play this in line with the film/book where his mother never actively poisoned eddie but instead secured placebo pills, convinced him he was sick and weak, actively stopped him from pursuing things he liked, and sought to cut him off from others. ftr, wouldn't put his wife myra in the same category of being as intentionally destructive, but she has enough overlap with sonia's emotional manipulation tactics that it deepened the damage. in the book, eddie engages in drug abuse with a mix of real and placebo pills into his adult life, but the film isn't clear on the nature of what he's taking, so i don't emphasise this too much. internalised homophobia may also arise in shippy threads. in general, references to gore & murder (as someone who survived an attack), child murder, hate crimes (will ask/warn for any of these). pm if there's anything you'd prefer to avoid.
